A brief background history which explains our past, present and future; is that my husband's parents began L.L.WEANS Educational Supply Company, while Long Island's baby boom of 1960 was causing new schools to open throughout Nassau and Western Suffolk. Our company grew along with these communities and thankfully became synonymous with educational products.  Around 1977 my husband Allan Lepler, began the first educational store, and then I, Michelle Lepler,  joined around 1990 (read about me on     ) to create a more retail friendly environment for our loyal teacher customers and introduce parents and others  to L.L.WEANS unique educational products.  We continued changing with our customer's needs, the times and education, by offering a variety of Workshops & Programs as well as our internet website, which brings us to today and the WEANS INSTITUTE.

What is the Weans Institute ?

For over twelve years, WEANS Programs & Workshops have been successfully educating Teachers, Parents, Scouts and Future Teachers, with fun & creative ways to use educational materials, and we are continuing to do this under our new appropriate name, "WEANS INSTITUTE."  With WEANS Educational Store closed, we have graduated into being on our own and we are now happily housed in BORDERS, centrally located in the same Airport Plaza Shopping Center on Route 110 in Farmingdale.  To validate our educational programs content, we are sponsored with Wonderful Products and Discount Coupons, at different times by;  WWW.LLWEANS.COM  (a virtual store) and  CAROL SCHOOL SUPPLY STORE on Union Turnpike in Flushing, Queens.  We are thankful and very happy to be working together with these three well known companies who are trusted for their integrity in business and loyalty to our communities.
